Where can I get
information regarding weddings laws in my state?
A. Go to
http://www.usmarriagelaws.com/
But essentially, you will need a Wedding License (Missouri is good for
30 days - Kansas for six months) and 2 witnesses 18 years old and up.
The County Court where you obtain your license can provide you with all
of the information you need.
How much "lead time" do
you need to schedule our wedding?
A. In most cases very
little. If you have your wedding license we can proceed on your time
table.
Can we provide our own
vows?
A. Of course, we want your
wedding to be as personal and meaningful as possible. We will be happy
to assist you in writing your own vows if you like.
Are you a legally
ordained minister?
A. Yes, by a nationally
recognized ordaining body.
How many years of
experience do you have.
A. I was licensed as a
minister in 1985 and ordained in 1986. I have been both a Pastor and
Seminary Instructor.
Do you require
pre-marital counseling?
A. No, but it is available
upon request.
Are you the only
officiant to perform weddings?
A. No, we have a "pool"
that we can draw from consisting of several ministers so that more than
one wedding can take place at the same time.
How far will you travel
to perform marriages?
A. Any distance in any
direction within reason.
